Oh Hell by The Specks

In. Your. Face. That’s the feeling you get from The Specks. It’s raw-ass punk with enough energy to make you want to ride your skateboard into oncoming traffic or try to shoot the pier on your longboard. It’s probably a bad idea, but that adrenaline is pumping, special thanks to Nay, Jay, Bri, and Oli from The Specks. Based out of London, Ontario this punk/hardcore outfit has crafted their sound to their liking and relays it as well as possible in their recording. You stumble upon some punk or hardcore that sounds too polished and clean, not rugged and kick-ass enough. …

Have some funk soup with Marsoupial

Marsoupial

You don’t always need a lead singer or vocals to be funky as shit. Marsoupial is a concoction of funk, rock, metal, and so many other kinds of technical and fun music. His most recent project called “Honey I’m Homeless” is definitely a wild mold of matchbox 20 fueled, late …

EV RE20: King of The Broadcast

Radio Jocks and Podcasters alike always sound big, that is unless they’re using the wrong gear. In the constant changing game of audio gear getting smaller, lighter, cheaper, and simulation over load, yes I meant to say simulation, one mic has outlasted them all. The Electro Voice RE-20 Cardioid Microphone, the standard when it comes to broadcast microphones. In mostly every radio station worldwide you’ll find one of these bad boys. This microphone gives you the bottom end you need with the right amount of high end for a clean, radio ready sound. Whenever you see radio jocks constantly moving that …

Animals by The Gorgeous Oranges

Most of the time when scouring the internet for new music you’ve never heard before, you stumble upon a lot of songs that you want to like, but just can’t. Most of the time it is because they are either poorly produced, or just not working out. Sometimes both. Then, there are the times you click on a link of a post somewhere that brings you to something that is new, fun, and exciting. In fact, this link that I’ve happened to click on turned out to be something I wanted to listen to again, and then listen to their …
